Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, around a central depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, the revere with a barrel hinge and vertical piback meeting a flattened pinback, the pin marked with partially legible silver content number of either 800 or 900, measuring 43. 40 mm (w) x 70. 86 mm
